Chad Castle, RICP®
Chad grew up in a small town in northeast Texas. During high school, he played football and baseball, stocked grocery shelves on weeknights, and drove tractors and grain trucks on the weekends. Although he was Valedictorian of his high school class, his kids say his class rank wasn’t impressive because there were only 37 students in his graduating class. Chad was introduced to Baylor by his high school Accounting and English teachers.
As a student at Baylor, Chad paid for his education through student loans and waiting tables at nights and most weekends. During his “free” time, he was a founding member of the Baylor Rugby Club and served as an officer in Sigma Nu Fraternity.
After earning his BBA, with a double major in Financial Services & Planning and Insurance Studies, his most proud accomplishment was marrying his “Baylor Beauty” over 26 years ago. Four kids later, Chad spends much of his time working to pay Baylor tuition bills and baseball and football season tickets.
Chad has served in the financial services industry since 1995. Most recently, he opened Winnow Wealth to focus on creating simple, efficient, and transparent investment plans for his clients. Chad teaches retirement planning courses every semester at McLennan Community College, where his students are primarily Baby Boomers. After every class, Chad hears comments like, “Wow! We wish we would have come to your class twenty years ago!”
